Why is chiropractic care important during your pregnancy?
Prenatal Chiropractic Care in Morrisville & Cary
Webster Technique Certified
Pregnancy is one of the most physically demanding journeys a woman's body will ever undertake. At Triangle Health Center, we are proud to support expecting mothers in Cary, Morrisville, and the surrounding Triangle area with safe, gentle, and clinically effective prenatal chiropractic care — from the first trimester through delivery preparation.
What Happens to Your Body During Pregnancy
As your baby grows, your body undergoes a cascade of structural and hormonal changes that place significant stress on your spine, pelvis, and joints. Your center of gravity shifts forward as your abdomen expands, dramatically increasing the curve of the lumbar spine and loading the lower back, sacroiliac joints, and hips. Postural compensations follow — often leading to mid-back tension, round ligament pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction, and sciatic nerve irritation.
Simultaneously, your body produces relaxin — a hormone that loosens ligaments and joints throughout the body to prepare the pelvis for childbirth. While essential for delivery, elevated relaxin levels reduce joint stability throughout the entire body, making pre-existing conditions flare and new injuries more likely.
Left unaddressed, these combined changes can make pregnancy unnecessarily painful and may contribute to suboptimal fetal positioning as your due date approaches.
Webster Technique — Specialized Prenatal Chiropractic Care

Dr. Mira Sharobim is certified in the Webster Technique, a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment protocol developed by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and recognized as the gold standard of prenatal chiropractic care.
The Webster Technique focuses on restoring proper alignment and balance to the sacrum and pelvis, reducing intrauterine constraint, and optimizing the neurological environment for both mother and baby. By ensuring the pelvis is properly aligned and the surrounding soft tissues are balanced, the Webster Technique supports the baby's ability to move into the ideal head-down position for delivery — potentially reducing the likelihood of a breech presentation and the interventions that often follow.
Research published by the ICPA has shown the Webster Technique to have an 82% success rate in resolving breech presentation when applied during the third trimester.

What Our
Patients Say
I have been a patient of Dr Greg and his team since 2020, and since then have been either pregnant or in the postpartum phase. Their level of prenatal and postpartum care is SUPERB. They've helped with prenatal ligament and joint pain, postpartum rib misalignment, sore joints and muscles from nursing, and relieve tension in my neck due to anxiety. They care so passionately about each patient and every phase of life we're in. It's been an exceptional experience, I am so grateful for Dr Greg and his team!
